**POLAR EXPRESS**

We took the kids to ride the Polar Express this year. We got to wear our P.J.'s, eat cookies, drink Hot Chocolate, listen to Christmas stories, sing songs, and of course the kids got to see Santa Clause.

We were lucky to have Grandma Janice come with us. It's always funner with Grandma.

Jared & Heather Riley & their family also came with us. Jared is a friend of Kelly's from work. The elves were so cute with the kids. They told them all about the reindeer and the north pole. The kids looking out the window for Santa Clause.Santa came aboard and gave all the kids a bell.Even Rees got a bell. The kids had a blast and couldn't wait to take their bells to school and show everyone.

Fun Stuff

Wyatt decided to take his blanket and pillow and tuck Rees in. He loves to take care of his little brother.

Wyatt wanted his picture taken in front of the tree.

I have a hard time taking picutures of Rees when he is playing because he always squints his eyes. This was the best one I could get.

Mom & Dad

My mom and dad left for Russia on November 10th. Here are a few pictures we took of them with Rees & Avery before they left.

Brooklyn's Birthday

This year for Brooklyn's Birthday we decided to go to Lagoon for her birthday instead of having a party. This was way more fun and less stressful for me. Brooklyn was able to bring one friend, Aubrey. Grandma Janice, Corby, Aspen, and Draven also came with us. My brothers Scott & Mike and their families also came. Lagoon has changed alot since the last time we went. They have a lot of new kids rides that are a lot more fun than they used to be and there were also some new big rides that were a lot of fun.

**Guardian Angel**

A couple of weekends ago Brooklyn had a very scary experience. I hope I get the story right. I'm not always the best at details. A friend of Kelly's called him and needed help getting an elk that his brother-in-law had shot up Spanish Fork canyon and they couldn't get it out on their own. So of course Kelly said he would love to help. He went and got two of our horses and took Brooklyn with him because she loves to go on horse rides. Brooklyn & Kelly rode together on our new horse Skippy. Why they were riding they came to a place where the ground got a little tough for the horse and his legs gave out and he fell down. Kelly got knocked off balance and jumped off so the horse could get up assuming it would stand up and wait there. Instead it got up and ran forward by the other horses. Again assuming it would stop when it got to the other horses they weren't too worried. But instead of stopping the horse tried to go around the front of the horses where there was about a 15 foot drop off into a ravine. The horse went off the drop off with Brooklyn still on its back. At that point they saw the horse disappear and heard Brooklyn screaming. The horse had fallen into a ravine where there wasn't really anywhere for Brooklyn to go except under the horse. When Kelly got to her she was still screaming and was under the horse. They hurried and got the horse off and when they did the only spot she was hurt was on the back of her leg where the horse had stepped on her while it was trying to stand up. It was a miracle that she wasn't more severely hurt. The horse hadn't rolled on her when it fell or stepped on her too hard. She was able to walk away with only a really bad bruise. She road the rest of the way without much complaint and was more worried about if the horse was O.K. then if she was O.K. I know she was being watched over and we are so lucky she was able to come home without major injury.

~~BLESSING~~

I finally got my internet working better so I am trying to catch up on what I haven't posted yet. This was from when Rees was Blesssed on Aug. 3rd. We were so blessed to have a lot of our family and close friends here with us on this special day. Grandma Janice
Grandma & Grandpa Rees
Skyla was blessed on the same day. Here are some pictures of them together. Aren't they cute even when they are mad.

Trying to get all the Nielsen Grandkids together for a picture was quite the adventure. This was the best I could get.
