CRAZY MAY

So this month has been crazy. I will try and catch up with some of the stuff that we have done. Let's start with the first weekend. Friday May 1st we went to Janice's graduation she received her associates from UVU. Then that night we had cake and ice cream for Savannah's birthday. Saturday morning was Jessica's graduation from Snow college (we couldn't make it because of Savannah's baptism) but I heard it was great. Then the big event for the month was Savannah's baptism. We had so many friends and family there it turned out great. We are so proud of her decision to be baptized. She is such a great kid and we are so lucky to be her parents.

Here are the kids getting ready.Savannah & Aunt KayeSavannah's School teacher came to her baptism. We found out that her husband is my second cousin. Small World.

***SPRING BREAK****

Over spring break we went to St. George to hang out with Jamie & Chris. We had a ton of fun and can't wait to go back. While we were there Jamie took some pictures of Savannah for her baptism. They turned out so cute. Here are a few.We also decided to try and take some pictures of Skyla & Rees. They weren't in the mood for pictures but we got a couple that were cute. One of the main reasons we went down was so that we could go hiking in Zions. The kids were a little tired by the end of the hike but it was fun.

It's a Boy!!

Congratulations Cory & Elisha on their beautiful baby boy. Gavin Cory Nielsen was born April 8, 2009. We are so excited to have him in our family.

One of the great things about new babies is it gets my kids thinking??? One day while we were driving Wyatt asked how the baby comes out. I tried to explain it to him without giving too much detail. Then Brooklyn asks "How does they baby get in your tummy?" As a mom I love trying to explain things like this to kids. I told her it was complicated and I'd explain it later. Some day I'll have to explain it better but for now they didn't seem to care to much.

Cruise

Yes I'm a little behind on my blog, but I better give a little info on our cruise. We went to the Caribbean for our Ten Year Anniversary. It was so nice to get away and spend some time together. We went with Brett & Natalie Butler, friends of ours who were married a month before us. I don't have all my pictures from the cruise yet but here are a few we have now.
We arrived in Miami two days before we were scheduled to leave. Our hotel room was awesome. It had two seperate rooms with a kitchen and living room in between the two bedrooms. They actually upgraded us for free, we were supposed to only have one bedroom. Saturday we decided to go to the Everglades. We went on a boat ride that was a lot of fun and while we were stopped we had an alligator come right up to our boat. Here it is.
Then after the ride they had an area where we could go and look at some alligators and other animals. Then they had a reptile show where they let us hold a baby alligator. Later that day we decided to head out to South Beach. It was spring break so there were a million college kids everywhere. We decided not to stay too long, it looked like it might get interesting once the sun goes down.We arrived at the ship on Sunday Morning. My favorite part of the ship was our room. I feel a little spoiled because we had a balcony. If we go on a cruise again I don't know if I could go back to not having one.Our first port was Roatan Honduras. We did a zip line through the trees then we went to the beach.

Our next port was Belize. I got certified to Scuba Dive before we left and we were able to go diving in Belize. Kelly wasn't able to dive because of his epilepsy. He snorkled while we dove.

In Cozumel we rode on these X rails. Kelly decided he wanted to get one after we were done. Then we went back and did some shopping.

This is a picture from dinner.Chocolate Buffett YUM!!!Our final stop was at NCL's private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. We were able to snorkel and relax on the beach.

Rees 6 Months

At his 6 month check up Rees was in about the 5th percentile for his weight and height and about 75th for his head. He seems to be following his older siblings, short with big heads. Here are his 6 month pictures. He is such a happy baby but it seems like as soon as you get out a camera he doesn't want to smile. But they still turned out cute. He is so much fun I am so grateful to be able to stay home with him right now.

Christmas!!!

Yes I am a little behind. Christmas came so fast this year I felt a little unprepared. But we had a lot of the fun. The kids were spoiled and seemed to be happy with what Santa brought this year. Here is a picture of the kids before opening their presents. Rees was the first one up this year. He woke up about 6:00. Then Wyatt woke up at 7:00 so we decided to go wake up the girls. When I woke up Savannah she said she was so tired so I told her she could go back to bed but she decided not to. Grandma Janice came over to watch the kids open their presents.
We had some of Kelly's family over for breakfast. Grandma Carson came and told us that she got engaged to Mike. Congratulations Grandma!!! Cory and Elisha and their family also came.

Later we went to have dinner with my family. It was different having Christmas without Mom & Dad. We miss them but only one more Christmas to go. Before we opened presents we sang some Christmas songs and Booklyn was helping lead the songs.
Wyatt got a lincoln log set and dad helped them create a fort.
